Summary:
Responsible and accountable for providing patient care within the Cardiac Rehabilitation areas of Heart Care, under the supervision of the Lead Cardiac Rehab RN and/or the Cardiac and Vascular Services Nurse Manager.
The Cardiac Rehab RN may be assigned responsibility for the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program's daily management and may be asked to function as the charge nurse in the absence of the Cardiac Rehab Lead RN.
Supports the philosophy of the Cardiology Department and Beebe Medical Center.

Teaching experience/patient-teaching skills.
At least 2 years nursing experience in critical care.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal communication skills.
Supports patient morale with positive attitude.
Dysrhythmia recognition skills essential.
Responsibilities:
Performs daily duties of the Cardiac Rehab Lead RN in his/her absence.
Participates in the education of the patient/significant other using adult learning strategies to meet learning needs.
Teaches self care concept for lifetime maintenance of risk factor reduction and healthy habits.
Maintains accurate, pertinent and timely nursing documentation.
Provides written and/or verbal patient progress reports to Cardiologist and/or PCP as needed and at program completion.
Implements, monitors, documents and evaluates patient & individualized exercise prescription.
Knowledgeable regarding technical equipment in specialty areas.
Evaluates the patients environmental, psychosocial and educational support system and provides collaborative input into the discharge plan.
The nursing care plan reflects individual patient needs.
Assures that crash carts are accurately supplied and dated.
Recognizes emergency situations and can initiate code procedures or administer first aide or CPR as needed.
Prepares & administers medications according to policy.
Continuous EKG monitoring ability.
Competent in dysrhythmia detection and appropriate patient care per scope of practice.
Conducts interviews with assigned patients to include a nursing history and cardiovascular assessment.
Rotates in an on-call status.
Actively participates in performance improvement process to include evaluating, reporting and follow-up recommendations.

Experience In Hospital Or Acute Care Setting Clear Communication Skills Both Written And Verbal Able To Keep Confidential Information Regarding Patients, Team Members Able To Withstand Crisis Situations Has Skills To Provides Customer Service To Patients, Team Members And Visitors Knowledge And Experience With Electronic Health Records Education:
